ChaiVillageLA Joins with Villages Around the World to Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Village Movement!

Home Page

In past generations, people often lived in villages or close-knit neighborhoods--communities where people, young and old, knew each other's names, spent time together and kept an eye out for one another. This is the inspiration for ChaiVillageLA.

As we grow older, many of us want to stay in our own homes and neighborhoods, but sometimes this can take a village. ChaiVillageLA is a multi-generational, multi-synagogue village supported by Jewish values.

Congregants of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills and Temple Isaiah have come together to form a special village, providing assistance to one another while enriching each other's lives.

Whether you are looking for a ride to the doctor, help with a computer, or a chance to join a book club, walking group or museum group, ChaiVillageLA will be there for you.

ChaiVillageLA congratulates Rabbi Emerita Laura Geller for being named one of Next Avenue's 2017 Influencers in Aging. Rabbi Geller was recognized for her work "toward a revolutionary vision: creating an intergenerational 'village' to allow older adults to 'age in place' in their own homes with the support of a loving and interdependent community."
