One LA Supports Immigrant Neighbors

About this event

One LA Supports Immigrant Neighbors | July 29 at 9:30am

If you are looking for a concrete way to support our immigrant neighbors please join One LA and SEIU 2015 on at the County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Location: 500 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

SEIU 2015 (this year's honoree at the One LA Labor Seder) represents 240 thousand home care workers who are currently fighting for just wages in their new contract with the county. These essential workers, who care for the most vulnerable in our county, earn $18 per hour (lagging behind those of other workers in the county). These workers are predominantly women of color and immigrants.

By showing up we will demonstrate to our Board of Supervisors that our care workers have a broad base of support and we believe they deserve a living dignified wage.

If you are able to attend please contact Janet Hirsch who will be working to coordinate support from the Westside.
